Stencil (adstencil.io) is committed to protecting the privacy of our users and the clients they serve.
Stencil connects to Google Ads, Meta Ads and Shopify accounts via official read-only OAuth 2.0 authentication. Users authenticate using their existing platform credentials. Stencil requests read-only scope only — no write permissions are requested or used at any point.
The data we access includes:
Stencil does not access, store or process individual customer PII from any connected platform. For Shopify connections we access only aggregated order and conversion data. No customer names, email addresses, physical addresses or payment information are accessed or stored at any point.
Data accessed via platform APIs is used exclusively to run structured audit levers against connected accounts, surface findings to the authenticated account manager, and generate client-facing reports at the account manager's request.
We do not sell, share or transfer your data to any third party. We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes. We do not train machine learning models on your account data.
Data is retained for 12 months from the date of audit. You may request complete deletion at any time by emailing sid@adstencil.io. Requests processed within 30 days.
You may revoke Stencil's access to any connected advertising account at any time via your Google, Meta or Shopify account settings.

Stencil provides read-only audit intelligence for advertising account managers. The platform connects to Google Ads, Meta Ads and Shopify accounts via official OAuth 2.0 APIs and surfaces structured findings to support account management decisions. Stencil does not make changes to any connected advertising account. All actions taken on accounts remain the sole responsibility of the account manager and their agency.
Stencil is intended for use by advertising agencies and account managers managing paid media accounts on behalf of clients. By using Stencil you confirm that you have the authority to connect the advertising accounts you link to the platform.
You agree not to use Stencil for any unlawful purpose, attempt to access data beyond your authorised accounts, reverse engineer or copy any part of the platform, or share your login credentials with unauthorised parties.
The audit lever frameworks, methodology and platform design are the intellectual property of Stencil. The findings generated by your audits belong to you and your agency.
Stencil provides audit intelligence as a decision support tool. All account management decisions remain the responsibility of the account manager. Stencil accepts no liability for outcomes resulting from actions taken based on platform findings.
